Family, Friends & Fun...

When we weren't busy fighting gale force winds, flying to Phoenix on family business, hanging and re-hanging salt crusted Christmas lights, here's what we've been doing with our time.

We are planning to depart Nassau, Bahamas, March 3, 2006 to start making our way to Turks & Caicos Islands where we are planning to spend three months diving, fishing and generally lazing around.

After that...who knows?

The past few months have been a nice mixture of cruising, exploring the Exumas (we've been up and down them five times) and Abacos but most importantly, hangin' out with visiting friends and family.  Late November brought friends, Vicki & Owen Schmidt (owners of Rogue Manor, Nordhavn 4303), to Staniel Cay, Exumas for a few days of R&R, diving Thunderball Grotto and best of all, just plain hangin' out with us on DiveAdx.

After a day of cruisin', conchin', toe nail polishin', pig pokin', birthday bashin' and of course, divin', a good martini is a well deserved treat.  Unfortunately, martini's aren't the "usual" drink of choice here in the islands, so a little behind the bar action was needed.  Vicki, never to turn down a challenge, stepped up to the shaker and showed them how it's done!

In January, our son Adam came to Great Guana Cay, Abacos for a week of fishing and fun.  First day out...Adam was rewarded with a 45 lb wahoo.  Along with fishing, we took Adam to Nipper's for some fun in the sun and convinced him to "smile pretty" for his ole' mom up on the rocks.  Fortunately, he was a good sport about the little shower he ended up getting during the photo shoot.

Late January brought the US supply ship, Wayfinder to Great Guana Cay, Abacos.  Sara & Mike Wise, friends and '47 Nordie owners we met last year in Puerto Vallarta came to Abacos bearing much needed supplies for all onboard DiveAdx.  We had a blast cruising and cavorting from Abacos to Exumas for several weeks together.  After many "happy" hours, sunsets at anchor and waiting out a few cold fronts together, we parted ways at Sampson Cay.  Wayfinder heading south towards Venezuela, DiveAdx heading north to meet up with family in Atlantis before heading south again to Turks & Caicos.

We hope to see them again somewhere along the way.

February brought Auntie Pat and Uncle Bill to visit T-Bone at Atlantis. We had five fun days of sunning, shopping, sightseeing and even a little slot spinning.  Even with all that, Uncle Bill found the time to put Thor's new lettering on the dingy.  As always...it's all about the dog!
